We all at Fife Autocentre were very pleased to receive the following message of support:
hope this is the right place to send this to.
Both my wife and I are frontline workers, my wife a nurse at the local community hospital and myself a nurse in a community assessment team in Forth Valley. My wife unfortunately suffered a slow puncture and as we both are still working our cars are required to get us to and from work. I spoke with the auto-centre in Tillicoultry on the phone asking if they could help with a slow puncture, initially they said no as they are understandably only taking in essential jobs, when I mentioned we were nurses, the chap immediately said to make our way to the garage. I arrived, the car tyre was sorted in a quick and efficient manner, everybody adhering to social distancing, there was friendly banter across the forecourt. I made my way to the office to pay and was told that the fee was waived as we were frontline workers. In a time where anxiety and tension runs high, where politicians and the rich appear to be still benefitting from the chaos that is going on, there are these amazing little gestures of mutual aid and generosity that are happening within communities. I would like you to know that the workers in the Tillicoultry garage are gems and when I clap on Thursday nights, I'm clapping not just for the NHS workers but for the frontline workers such as them, the people that are greasing the cogs and making sure that things keep running smoothly when all else is grinding to a stop. Can you please pass on our gratitude to the team at the Tillicoultry garage who are heroes and a credit to the Auto-centre brand.
a very happy customer : )
